Cinemaslave #116: Rotoscoping Renfield

Joe's all-time favorite movie, F.W. Murnau's 1922 silent horror masterpiece NOSFERATU, is getting the 3D treatment in a new remake/reimagining/re-editing/modernization called ORLOCK THE VAMPIRE IN 3D. Special guest Keith Carter, the animator/director behind ORLOCK, joins Joe for an in-depth discussion on this new project, the lure of 3D technology, the appropriateness of tinkering with classic films, the world's greatest video stores, and other Cinemaslave-flavored topics. The Val Lewton marathon continues next episode with THE LEOPARD MAN and GHOST SHIP. Happy Halloween!

Hey, a new episode! I've found it by accident. You forgot to tell it in the forum Joe. A bit late but I will listen to it today. Cheers!

Hello Joe. Thanks for doing such a great interview. I am the guy that did the 3D for Orlock. If anyone wants more of the Technical info on the process, I did an article about it for the Creative Cow Magazine. Here is a link:

There are several stills and a few movies from the film linked to the article. Thanks again for the interest!

Hey there!

Is there any chance to listen to the early Cinemaslave shows? Sadly, those on this blog have missing attachments... and I would love to hear them! :)

Thanks for all the shows, Joe! They are amazing! Cheers!
