Newly restored version of Fritz Lang's Metropolis will screen on TCM

Fritz Lang's 1927 silent masterpiece, Metropolis, has been newly restored after an uncut print was found in a Buenos Aries film archive. Restoring 40 minutes of footage previously thought to be lost, this new version adds some much needed cohesion to the story. Of course it'll never screen on TV in Australia so I guess it's another purchase for me.

Fritz Lang couldn't direct himself out of a paper bag. However, he did direct some great movies.
